How do I pay for my order?

At Shenzhen Eat we are not trying to re-invent the wheel, so once you have chosen your food and ordered it then you can expect to pay in exactly the same way you would normally, with good old cash! Just pay the restaurants delivery team on the arrival of the food and enjoy.


How do I become a member?

Two options, when you arrive on the main page you can either press 'LOGIN' at the top right hand corner, or alternatively, find your address, choose the food you want and when you go to place your order you will be prompted to join.


Why would I want to use Shenzhen Eat?!

We don't mean to brag, but there's no easier way to find and order from your local takeaways online. All you need to do is visit www.shenzheneat.com, find your address, and pick a takeaway near you. Browse the menu, buy the most delicious sounding thing on the menu and pay cash on delivery. Plus, once you've used SHENZHEN EAT, re-order saved meals, and leave quality reviews for restaurants. All without having to pick up the phone!


I'm not comfortable ordering on-line. Can I just give you a call?

Our service is totally on-line, but don't panic. As we do not receive any cash direct from you the customer, you do not need to worry about us doing anything silly with your credit card or bank details. Basically, all you need to worry about is what you're having for dinner tonight –we've got the rest of it covered.


Can I combine orders from different restaurants?

Unfortunately not! You can't make orders with more than one restaurant at a time. If you want to order different food from another restaurant, all you need to do is complete a separate order.


Good, Bad or Ugly? Tell us about your meal!

Are you new to Shenzhen or perhaps you are just looking to try something a little different. How do you know which one to choose? That's where reviews come in. Reviews keep our takeaways on their toes and help you, as well as the rest of Shenzhen Eat, to find the best meal every time. If it's early, on time, delivered with a smile, or the restaurant just went the extra mile to make you happy your fellow Shenzhen Eaters need to know! But if it's late, wrong, cold, or just plain terrible, we need to know even more! So, after every order, leave a review! You'll get an email asking you to rate your meal or you can log in to your JUST EAT account, find the order and leave a review any time.


And if there's a problem with our website or one of our Anti-Cooking Activists, drop us an email at chrisinchina@hotmail.co.uk so we can fix it.


What if I have a food allergy or special dietary requirement?

Shenzhen Eat depends on our partnered restaurants to tell you about the particular ingredients from their dishes. We try to ensure that what they say is accurately opied onto the Shenzhen Eat site. However it is initially up to the restaurant themselves to provide accurate and correct information. Shenzhen Eat wants to save you from the tyranny of the telephone, but we also want you to be confident about what you order. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements you can let the restaurant know in the comments box or raise those concerns with Shenzhen Eat to discuss with the restaurant on your behalf.


I'm hungry! Where's my food!

At Shenzhen Eat we try and place your order as soon as is humanly possible, but sometimes the restaurants or ourselves have busy times... If you want aan update on where your food is then please do not hesitate to drop us an e-mail at chrisinchina@hotmail.co.uk and we will give the restaurant a follow up call to try and give you an accurate delivery time.


My meal was unacceptable. How can I claim a refund or compensation?

We may not prepare your order, but that doesn't mean we don't care!


If you're not happy, the best thing to do is speak to the restaurant directly. They're the ones making the food, and so they're in the best position to fix any problems with it. Just explain to them what's wrong, and they have the opportunity to offer compensation or a refund depending on their guidelines. And if things really didn't go well, leave a review and let others know about your experience! Fill out the rate your meal email or you can log in to your JUST EAT account, find the order and do it there. Always let us know, we obviously want our customers to be happy and if a particular restaurant is regulary serving sub-standard food or taking far too long, we need to know!
